01Who we are

Kin Squared is a performance marketing agency based in Auckland, New Zealand, and part of Chromonox Ltd. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Kin Squared and Chromonox Ltd.

For any question about your personal information, email our privacy officer at hello@kinsquared.co.nz.

02What we collect

What you tell us. When you use the booking form, you give us:

If you email us, we keep that email and anything you send with it.

What your browser tells us. When you visit the site, our analytics and advertising tools collect technical information: pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location, device and browser type, and your IP address. See Tracking and cookies.

We only collect what we need to reply to you and run our business. We don't ask for sensitive information, and please don't include it in the form.

03How we use it

We won't sell your information or add you to a mailing list without asking first.

04Tracking and cookies

The site uses two measurement tools that set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser:

ToolWhat it doesYour choice
Google AnalyticsCounts visits and shows which pages and sources lead to enquiries.Block cookies in your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
Meta PixelTells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) when someone visits or makes an enquiry, so we can measure our ads and show them to people who have visited.Change your Meta ad preferences or block cookies in your browser.

The site also loads fonts from Google and images and videos from a content delivery service. Those requests share your IP address with the provider, as any web page does.

05Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and our inbox. They handle your information on our behalf:

Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand, including in Australia and the United States. We use well-established providers with their own security and privacy commitments, so that your information is protected in a way comparable to the Privacy Act.

We only share your information with anyone else if you agree to it, or if the law requires it.

06Our clients' data

When we work for a business, we're given access to its advertising accounts, analytics, website and sometimes its customer lists, for example to build ad audiences. That data belongs to our client, and we only use it to deliver the work they've asked for.

We access it through the platforms' own sharing tools where we can, upload customer lists only in the protected (hashed) form the ad platforms require, and remove our access when the work ends. Our client remains responsible for telling their own customers how their information is used.

07Storage and security

Your enquiry is kept in our email account and the form provider's records, which are protected by passwords and access controls. Only the people who work on your enquiry can see it. No system is completely secure, but if a privacy breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and the Privacy Commissioner, as the law requires.

We keep enquiries for as long as they're useful for following up, and normally no longer than two years if you don't become a client. Client and financial records are kept for seven years, as New Zealand tax law requires. After that, we delete them.

08Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to delete it, or to stop using it for marketing.

Email hello@kinsquared.co.nz with your request. We'll reply within 20 working days, and usually much sooner. We may need to confirm who you are before sharing anything.

10Contact and complaints

For any privacy question or concern, email our privacy officer at hello@kinsquared.co.nz, and we'll work with you to put it right.

If you're not happy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
